High-Rise Incentive Program
The Sponsors of Mass Save promote the construction of new energy efficient residential multi-family high-rise buildings in Massachusetts. They offer financial incentives and rebates for projects that exceed the base Massachusetts building energy code resulting in high performance buildings.
Is Your Project Eligible?
Residential and mixed use new construction and greater than 50% gut rehab projects that are four stories or more are eligible to participate in the High Rise Program if they are located within a Mass Save® Sponsor’s service territory. Master-metered natural gas projects under four stories are also eligible to participate. Program eligibility requirements and incentives available are subject to change and may vary each year.
How Incentives Are Calculated
Incentives are available for both residential in-unit and common area energy efficiency measures. The amount of natural gas fuel savings, electric savings, and the home’s overall performance compared to the program-provided energy model will determine how much the incentive check will be.
It is important to contact us during the schematic or design development phase in order to receive the maximum incentives available. Program participants must provide us with detailed project information outlining all qualifying energy efficiency equipment as well as plans and specifications.
Program eligibility requirements and incentives available are subject to change and may vary each year.
There are also new Heating & Cooling incentives for high-rise projects as well. To see what your project qualifies for, please contact our High-Rise Program lead, Andrew, at andrew@energycodehelp.com.
